The Open Top Double Decker Bus & Restaurant

The open top Eat @ The Double, double decker bus and restaurant is the brainchild of Clive Munday and brothers, Cormac and Peter Hayes. They are all experienced caterers who have been working most of the major festivals and events for several years.

Something completely different for your festival or event, with event organisers continually looking for unusual or quirky catering options, we feel that we have come up with the answer.

Enter Eat @ The Double, the four wheeled gourmet restaurant, a 35 year old Bristol bus, which began life showing tourists the sights of Bath. Now having undergone a first class refurbishment, with a fully equipped professional kitchen downstairs and the upstairs offers open air tables and chairs with great views of the surroundings!!

Our aim is to provide top quality locally sourced gourmet food to our customers, our 6oz organic burgers, sausages, steaks and chicken is supplied by Easter Compton Farm Shops, Easter Compton, Bristol. As we are based mainly around the West Country our fresh bread & rolls, vegetables & salad is supplied by Danela’s Bakery and Charmer’s Fresh Produce from Shepton Mallet.

Ethical Trading

We place great importance on ethical and environmental awareness, our tea, coffee, drinking chocolate and juices are all Fair-trade and the cutlery and disposables are all bio-degradable. The bus runs on biodiesel and most of the lights are highly efficient new style 12 volt LED’s. We have invested in our own oil filtering machine to recycle our cooking oil and by using locally sourced produce all helps towards reducing our environmental footprint. These measures are very important to us; apart from reducing waste we are increasing the efficiency of our business now so in the long term it will also increase profitability of our business.
